The goal of the MES PTA is to encourage parent and community involvement in the education, health and welfare of our students. We're not just about raising money - we're about parents and caregivers who have a vested interest in the success of our children's educational, emotional and social experience while at Mandeville Elementary School. Your support and involvement is the only way we can accomplish these goals.
Specific Goals for 2008-09
In addition to our fundamental goals, the MES PTA has also set the following resource and beautification objectives, which we hope to achieve through our various fundraising efforts:
1. Replace MES street sign fronting the school -- DONE (see above)!!
2. Computer lab - purchase 25 computers and necessary equipment to outfit a student computer lab - - DONE!!

WOW! Another wonderful year at MES is drawing to a close!
The MES PTA would like to wish our 3rd Graders a very fond, very warm farewell and all the best in 4th Grade! We will miss you all!

At the Louisiana PTA State Convention last month, this very website won the Outstanding Website Award by the State PTA. Only 3 such awards are given out for the entire state, so we feel very honored. and very proud to have won the Award. Thanks to everyone who contributes their time and resources to making our site great!!
Also, Whale Tales, the MES PTA newsletter, received an Award of Merit from the Louisiana PTA as well.
And that's not all, MES PTA was also recognized for reaching the following membership goals:

YEARBOOKS ARE HERE! - If your student pre-ordered an MES yearbook, they should have it at home by now. If you did not pre-order, there are a limited number of yearbooks available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like one, please send a check in the amount of $20.00 made payable to "MES" to school. Please be sure to include your student's name and his or her teacher's name on the memo line of your check. Thank you to everyone who purchased an MES yearbook!
